He looked at how planned obsolesce applied to other items, how it was all about $$ of course, how quality degraded rapidly and how that was eventually going to bleed into society. Prescient; he was writing in the 1950s. It's been about 30 years since I read them but I remember he talked about among other things men's shoes and suits. I live in California. They passed some kind of BS legislation that includes retailers not being able to sell incandescent bulbs in the state. Not only that, as a consumer, I can't even buy them in another state and have them shipped here. It's complete thuggery, all to push their "climate crisis" hoax.
You might want to withdraw consent from that psychopathic legal/governmental mess... I have. And I had a couple run-ins with cops a while ago... Now They leave Me alone.
I do have an advantage in that I have corrected My status from debtor to creditor, and am a secured party. A good friend who does that for People as a living gifted Me that service. He charges $1,500 and it's well worth it. He does virtually all the work, unlike other such services.
