Your grandmother and father were both wise to give you the advice you received. My grandmother opened my mind at 4 years of age with what she told me, too. It taught me not to accept conventional information, which gets people nowhere. My father was a voracious reader who could read a book in an hour, but he told me "Don't believe everything you read, just because it is in a book." I was blessed to have had people in my life who taught me...and I was a child who was open to listening. It is amazing how so many young and older people are close minded today. They know everything...and don't want to learn anything more. My substack at barbaracharis.substack.com yesterday: If Health is Important to You: Learn How Your Body Works.. Doctors don't study health . They study illness and sick people. I am healthy at 91, because I got into doing my own research in 1961 at 27, because of a sick child. I found out that everything the doctor told me to do was responsible for his bad health. I nearly lost him from vaccines, rotten food suggestions. then he was put on tranquilizers. A friend handed me some books and told me to start reading...The first thing i read SUGAR CREATES HYPERACTIVITY.... and the second thing: TRANQUILIZERS STUNT THE DEVELOPING ORGANS OF CHILDREN.

As soon as I read these two facts, I realized how ignorant the doctor was...and stopped depending on doctors 64 years ago. It takes a long time to learn, because of all the misinformation out there, but I am healthy today, because I was willing to go off the beaten path.
